product details

A full winter of ash in one delivery: a 1.5m³ crate with 1.2m³ of logs hand-stacked four rows deep inside, which is 2m³ of loose logs. Around 590 logs and 537kg (roughly three bulk bags’ worth), kiln dried and Ready to Burn, at the lowest price per log we sell.

Ash is the log most people mean when they say good firewood. It lights more easily than oak, burns with a steady, bright flame and holds its heat, so it sits between birch and oak: quick enough for a weeknight, long enough to see out the evening. If you only ever buy one species, this is the safe bet.

The crate measures 108 × 115 × 120cm on the outside; the logs fill 105 × 110 × 105cm inside, four rows of 25cm logs deep. Every log is kiln dried to under 18% moisture (Ready to Burn certificate WS6414) and cut to 25cm to fit any UK stove. Hand-stacked, not tipped, so you get wood, not air. Order by 2pm Monday to Friday and it’s with you the next working day, kerbside by Palletline, free to most UK postcodes. Spread the cost over 3 interest-free payments with Shop Pay.

storage & lighting

Storing

Keep the crate wrapped until you need it and unwrap the top only, so the logs stay dry and you can take from the top as you go. A garage, barn or covered spot off the ground is ideal. Kiln dried logs take moisture back in if they’re left out in the weather.

Lighting

  • Two or three ash logs on a bed of kindling, one firelighter underneath.
  • Air vents fully open until the logs are well caught, then close down to taste.
  • Ash sits between birch and oak: quick to catch, steady to burn; one or two logs an hour keeps it going.

Stop running out in the middle of a cold snap

A full winter of ash in one delivery: a 1.5m³ crate with 1.2m³ of logs hand-stacked four rows deep inside, 2m³ loose volume, around 590 logs and 537kg, on a pallet to your door for free. Lights more easily than oak, holds its heat better than birch, and there’s enough to see out the winter. Every log is kiln dried to under 18% moisture and checked with a meter before it leaves us. That’s why it lights first go, burns hot and clean, and doesn’t tar up your glass or flue.

Better fires start with bone dry wood

Most of the complaints we hear about bulk loads come down to two things: wet logs and air gaps.

Title

Typical seasoned firewood

Slower, more frustrating fires that can take longer to properly get going

Excess moisture creates heavier smoke and more smouldering around the firepit

More of the fire’s energy is wasted drying the logs instead of producing usable heat

Kiln dried ash firewood crate, under 18% moisture

Hand-stacked, not tipped, so you get wood, not air

Same kiln dried, Ready to Burn logs as our bags at the lowest price per log

One delivery, no running out, no waiting on a tipper lorry

Everything you need for a better fire.
