COMMON QUESTIONS.

How long will delivery take?

Most orders placed before 12pm (for parcels) or 2pm (for pallets) go out the same day for next working day delivery. We'll send tracking once it’s on the way.

Can I choose my delivery day?

If you’d like a specific delivery day, just leave us a note at checkout — we’ll do our best to match it and confirm once arranged.

Do you deliver on weekends?

Standard delivery is Monday to Friday. Saturday delivery is possible on request for an extra charge — get in touch to arrange it.

Can I collect instead of having it delivered?

Yes! You can collect from our Leyland depot every Saturday between 9am and 2pm. Just choose ‘Pickup’ at checkout and we’ll have it ready.

Is your wood ‘Ready to Burn’ certified?

Every product we sell is certified under the Ready to Burn scheme — that means it’s kiln-dried to below 20% moisture and meets all UK regulations.

What’s the difference between hardwood and softwood logs?

Hardwood (like oak and birch) burns longer and hotter, making it ideal for wood burners. Softwood lights quickly but burns faster — great for kindling or open fires.

I’ve got a discount code — how do I use it?

Just enter your code at checkout. The discount will apply automatically. If you have any issues, give us a shout before placing the order.

Do I need to be in when the order arrives?

Not usually. As long as we’ve got clear instructions (e.g. “leave by the gate”), most couriers can deliver without anyone home. In some cases, you may need to contact the courier directly to confirm a safe place or nominate a neighbour if you won’t be in.

Do you deliver to my area?

We deliver nationwide across mainland UK. A few remote postcodes may have slight delays, but we’ll always let you know in advance.

What’s the best way to store the logs once they arrive?

Keep them somewhere dry and well-ventilated — ideally in a log store or garage. The packaging is breathable, but logs should be kept off the ground.

What does kiln-dried mean?

Kiln-dried logs have been carefully dried in a controlled environment to reduce their moisture content to below 20%. This makes them burn cleaner, hotter, and more efficiently — with less smoke, less soot, and far better heat output than seasoned or unseasoned wood.
