DELIVERY
DELIVERY
All maxi bags are delivered next working day when ordered before 2pm.
Maxi bags are shipped via DHL and delivered on a standard courier van (Ford Transit / Mercedes Sprinter size). Once dispatched, you’ll receive tracking from DHL, usually on the day of delivery, with a 1-hour delivery window. We also send your tracking details ourselves, typically in the evening (around 4pm) once the parcel has entered the DHL network.
Each woven sack of logs is packed inside a strong double-wall cardboard box, sealed for transit so it can move safely through the courier network. The outer box is shower-resistant. Even if the box gets damaged, the logs remain protected inside the woven sack.
If you are not home, delivery will only be made if you have selected a safe place or neighbour via the DHL tracking link. These options can be set once tracking is received, just like a standard courier delivery. If no option is selected and delivery cannot be made, the parcel will be reattempted.
Deliveries operate Monday–Friday. Weekend delivery can occasionally happen (especially for Friday dispatches), but is not guaranteed.
Please note:
Orders of multiple maxi bags may arrive separately, sometimes on different vans, and at different times throughout the day. This is normal for courier deliveries and helps avoid additional delivery charges.
DESCRIPTION
Our kiln-dried Birch logs in 60L maxi bags are all about convenience and ease. Pre-cut, properly dried and ready to burn, they arrive straight to your door in a handy woven sack — ideal for relaxed evenings, quick fires and everyday use without the hassle of handling a full crate.
Birch is one of the easiest hardwoods to burn. It lights quickly, produces a bright lively flame and delivers strong heat with minimal smoke. With a moisture content below 20%, these logs burn cleanly and efficiently, making them perfect for log burners, multi-fuel stoves, fire pits and pizza ovens.
Packed inside a compact transit box and delivered via DHL, maxi bags are perfect where storage space is limited or when you just want logs dropped at your door, ready to use. It’s the simplest way to enjoy quality kiln-dried firewood with no planning or heavy lifting.

Birch bark is naturally oily and catches flame almost instantly. Even with a single firelighter, the logs take quickly, making it one of the simplest hardwoods to get started.
Birch produces a tall, dancing flame that looks as good as it feels. The vivid burn creates a classic firelight atmosphere, ideal for cosy evenings or social fires outdoors.
Kiln-dried birch burns hot and clean, giving off less smoke and leaving behind only a light ash. That means clearer stove glass and less chimney maintenance over time.
Delivered in a strong woven sack, the maxi bag is compact enough to carry and store easily while still providing a good stock of hardwood.
How big is a bag of birch logs?
A birch maxi bag is about 50-litres in tight volume, and 83-litres in loose logs. It’s smaller than a builders bag but gives a good stock of hardwood that’s easy to move and store.
How long does a bag of birch logs last?
Birch burns quicker than oak, so a 60L bag will go faster. For occasional fires it can last about a week, but for daily burning expect only a few days from one bag.
Is birch good firewood?
Yes. Birch lights very easily and gives off a bright, lively flame. It’s one of the best woods for quick heat and atmosphere.
Is birch better than oak logs?
Birch is better for quick lighting and bright flames, while oak is better for slow, long burns. Many people use birch to start the fire, then switch to oak.
Does birch create a lot of smoke?
No — kiln-dried birch burns hot and clean with low smoke and only light ash. That makes it easier on the stove glass and chimney.
Can I burn birch logs in any stove or fireplace?
Yes. Kiln-dried birch is safe for all stoves, open fires, fire pits, and chimineas. It catches fast and works well even in smaller stoves.
