product details

A full winter of oak in one delivery. This crate holds 1.2m³ of stacked logs, roughly 395 of them and around 550kg, which works out at about 24 maxi bags’ worth for a fraction of the per-log price.

Oak is the densest log we sell. It takes a minute longer to get going, then holds a steady, high heat for hours; one or two logs an hour is usually plenty. It’s the log for a wood burner you want running all evening through the coldest months. If you light the fire most nights, this is the crate.

Every log is kiln dried to under 18% moisture, Ready to Burn certified and cut to around 25cm. The crate comes wrapped on a pallet and is delivered kerbside by Palletline, free to most UK postcodes, next working day if you order by 2pm.

Free pallet delivery

Free to most UK postcodes, no minimum order. Order by 2pm Monday to Friday and we dispatch the same day for next working day delivery.

How it arrives

Your crate comes wrapped on a pallet, delivered by Palletline on a tail-lift lorry. The driver will put it on the nearest hard-standing, usually your drive or kerbside; they can't take it through gates, up steps or round the back, so have a spot in mind. Someone needs to be in to sign for it. You'll get a call or text on the morning with a delivery window.

Surcharge areas

Northern Ireland, Isle of Man, Channel Islands, Scottish Highlands and Islands, and the Isles of Scilly: £50 per crate, 2–3 working days. Isle of Wight: £30 per crate, 2–3 working days. Added at checkout; enter your postcode above for your exact date and cost.

Returns & guarantee

Not happy with your logs? Tell us within 14 days of delivery and we'll put it right with a replacement, a credit or a refund. We won't ask you to send a crate back; a quick photo is usually all we need.

storage & lighting

Storage

Keep the crate somewhere dry and off the ground, ideally under cover: a garage, barn, carport or a sheltered spot against the house. Unwrap the top so the logs can breathe and keep the rest wrapped until you need it. Kiln dried logs will take moisture back in if they're left open to the rain, so if it's outside, keep a cover over the top.

Lighting

  • A couple of firelighters or a handful of kindling in the centre of the grate.
  • Two or three logs on top, loosely, so air can get between them.
  • Light it, vents fully open, door slightly ajar for the first few minutes if your stove allows.
  • Once the logs have caught, close the door and bring the vents down to a steady burn.
  • Add one log at a time as it burns down; don't pack the firebox.

Stop struggling to light damp, unreliable firewood.

Title

Outdoor fires should light easily, burn cleanly and create steady heat without excessive smoke or constant attention. Poorly seasoned logs often do the opposite, smouldering heavily and wasting much of the fire’s energy evaporating excess moisture before proper combustion can begin.

Our kiln-dried logs are dried below 18% moisture for a brighter, cleaner burn that ignites quickly, produces lively flames and delivers reliable heat from the very first fire.

Better fires start with
properly dried wood.

Most outdoor fire issues come from using logs with excess moisture.

Title

Typical seasoned firewood

Slower, more frustrating fires that can take longer to properly get going

Excess moisture creates heavier smoke and more smouldering around the firepit

More of the fire’s energy is wasted drying the logs instead of producing usable heat

Kiln-Dried Oak Below 18% Moisture

Lights quickly and reliably with lively natural flames

Burns cleaner with less unnecessary smoke and smouldering

Produces bright, consistent heat because less energy is wasted on excess moisture

Everything you need for a better fire.
