All Birch Mega Bundles are delivered next working day when ordered before 12pm.

Courier Delivery

Maxi bags are delivered by DPD on a standard courier van (Ford Transit / Mercedes Sprinter size). Once your order is dispatched, DPD will send tracking by email and/or text. On the day of delivery, you’ll receive a 1-hour delivery time slot. We also send your tracking details ourselves, usually in the evening (around 8–9pm) once the parcels enter the DPD network.

Packaging

Each woven sack of logs is packed inside a strong double-wall cardboard box, sealed for transit so it can move safely through the courier system. The outer box is shower-resistant. If a box is damaged in transit, the logs remain protected inside the woven sack. Kindling is supplied in net bags and boxed in the same way.

Safe Place & Neighbour Options

Just like any other DPD delivery, you can choose a safe place or neighbour through the tracking link. You don’t need to be home, although being in will give the smoothest delivery. If you have delivery instructions, add them in the order notes at checkout and they will be printed on the delivery label.

Delivery Window

Deliveries operate Monday–Friday. Weekend delivery can occasionally happen (especially for Friday dispatches), but is not guaranteed.

 

Please note:

Orders containing multiple bags may arrive separately, sometimes on different vans and at different times during the day. This is normal for courier deliveries.

The Birch Mega Bundle is a simple, ready-made mix designed for easy, reliable fires without needing to order multiple products. It combines fast-lighting Birch logs, longer-burning Oak logs and kindling, giving you everything you need in one delivery.

Birch logs light quickly and produce a bright, lively flame, making them ideal for starting fires. Oak logs burn slower and hotter, providing longer-lasting heat once the fire is established. The included kindling nets make lighting straightforward and consistent, helping get your stove going with minimal effort.

All logs are kiln-dried to below 20% moisture and supplied ready to burn. Delivered in manageable parcels straight to your door, this bundle is ideal for regular use, topping up, or anyone who wants a dependable mix of logs and kindling with no hassle.

Is birch good firewood?

Yes. Birch lights quickly and gives a bright, lively flame. It’s one of the easiest hardwoods to use if you want quick heat and a strong flame.

Does birch burn faster than oak?

Yes. Birch catches quickly but burns through faster. Oak takes longer to light but lasts for hours once it’s going. Many people burn birch to start the fire and oak to keep it going.

Can you mix birch and oak logs in the same fire?

Yes. Burning birch and oak together gives you the best of both — birch lights fast and oak keeps the fire steady for longer.

How much kindling do I need to start a log fire?

Usually 6–8 sticks are enough to get a fire going. A net of kindling will last for many uses.

Is it cheaper to buy firewood in bulk?

Yes. Buying logs in bundles or crates lowers the price per bag and saves money on delivery compared to single orders.

How long will birch logs last once burning?

Birch logs burn quicker than oak. A single log might last around an hour in a stove, depending on airflow, while oak can last several hours.
