DELIVERY
DELIVERY
All Firelighters are delivered next working day when ordered before 12pm.
Firelighters are delivered by DPD on a standard courier van (Ford Transit / Mercedes Sprinter size). Once your order is dispatched, DPD will send tracking by email and/or text. On the day of delivery, you’ll receive a 1-hour delivery time slot. We also send your tracking details ourselves, usually between 8–9pm once the parcel enters the DPD network.
Just like any other DPD delivery, you can choose a safe place or neighbour through the tracking link. You don’t need to be home, although being in will give the smoothest delivery. If you have delivery instructions, add them in the order notes at checkout and they will be printed on the delivery label.
Firelighters are supplied loose inside a strong cardboard box, sealed for transit so it can move safely through the courier system. The box is shower-resistant and protects the contents during delivery.
Deliveries are made Monday–Friday. Weekend delivery can occasionally happen (especially for Friday dispatches), but is not guaranteed.
Please note:
Orders containing multiple boxes may arrive separately, sometimes on different vans and at different times during the day. This is normal for courier deliveries.

SPECIFICATION
Contents: 150 firelighters per box
Box Size: 30cm × 20cm × 15cm
Use: Suitable for log burners, multi-fuel stoves, open fires, fire pits and chimeneas
Packaging: Firelighters supplied loose inside a strong cardboard box. Delivered via courier
Burn Time: Approx. 8–10 minutes per firelighter
These firelighters catch with a single match and flare up quickly, producing a strong, steady flame. Within minutes they generate enough heat to get even dense hardwood logs burning properly.
They burn hot without the thick smoke or acrid smell of paraffin blocks. The flame is clean, leaving stove glass clearer and producing less soot inside the chimney or flue.
Suitable for wood-burners, open fires, barbecues, chimineas, and fire pits. The compact block burns long enough to light larger fuel, but is small and light for easy use outdoors.
Made entirely from natural, renewable materials, these firelighters leave nothing behind once burned. The block itself will break down naturally if discarded, making it a safe and sustainable option.
Are firelighters safe to use indoors?
Yes, our eco-friendly firelighters are made from natural fibres and wax. They burn clean with minimal smoke or chemical odor, meaning they're safe for use in enclosed spaces like homes.
Do I still need kindling if I use firelighters?
Yes—firelighters give you a reliable flame, but kindling is still needed to transfer that flame to your logs efficiently and ensure an even fire build-up.
Are natural firelighters safer than paraffin-based ones?
Absolutely. Natural firelighters don’t emit toxic fumes and are biodegradable. Paraffin-based ones release more harmful compounds and are less environmentally friendly.
Can I use firelighters in a wood-burning stove?
Yes—you can. Natural firelighters are safe for wood-burning stoves and help start fires quickly and predictably without dangerous flare-ups or inconsistent burning.
What type of firelighter is best for indoor fires?
Products made from natural materials like wood wool and wax perform best—they ignite easily, burn steadily, and are far cleaner than paraffin variants.
How do you use a firelighter properly?
Place it on the base of the stove or hearth, surround it with kindling, light it, and allow it to burn thoroughly before adding larger logs. This method ensures a clean and efficient start.
Our blogs break down the real differences between log types, explain why kiln-dried matters, and share tips to get the best from every burn. They're easy to read, straight to the point, and actually useful — whether you're new to it or just want to know more about what’s going in your stove.
